The first national referendum in 35 years was held on 5 May 2011, giving everyone the chance to decide whether Britain should change the voting system used at UK Parliamentary elections.
The final UK result was:
- Yes: 6,152,607 (32.10%)
- No: 13,013,123 (67.90%)
The results for Haringey were:
- Yes: 30,310 (56.62%)
- No: 23,223 (43.38%)
