An interactive creative camp aimed at young people, aged 7 to 11 years.

Create magical memories at BGAC’s Performing Arts Summer Camp.

This thrilling programme will give young people a chance to hone their creative talents, build confidence and make new friends.

Join choir director, educator, and musician Ty Lowe for an unforgettable week of creativity and fun at our summer camp.

Dive into the magic of music and drama as you embark on a journey to the future, writing songs to your older selves.

Let your imagination soar with the transformative power of music.

In this exciting 1-week course, you’ll explore musical styles from all around the world. From soul and hip hop to classical and indigenous rhythms of the African and Caribbean diasporas, you’ll have the chance to discover new sounds, express yourself, and create something truly unique.

Week 2: Capoeira Connections

Dive into the Exciting World of Capoeira with Paulinha de Sousa’s Summer Camp!

Join us for an unforgettable adventure into the vibrant world of capoeira, the Afro-Brazilian martial art that blends movement, music, games, and community spirit.

Rooted in centuries-old traditions from West Africa, capoeira combines martial-art, dance, singing and drumming into a dynamic and engaging experience.

Throughout this exciting week-long program, you’ll:

  • master basic capoeira movements (with accessible modifications)
  • explore capoeira music and songs
  • immerse yourself in the rich history of this ancient art through films and craft-making

The week culminates in a thrilling Roda – a communal circle where everyone can showcase their new skills and celebrate together!
