In her work Jean Ramsey has been focusing on drawings that evolve into print form with its particular marks.

The processes she uses are traditional: soft ground etching, mezzotint and monoprint, but the method of combination is unusual.

Her subject matter is personal and close to home and all works begin with drawing, then are constantly re-examined and re-evaluated. The earliest works are mainly soft-ground etchings. The later monoprints combine techniques resulting in images that are invariably unforeseen.

Free event.
