Free house tours

Muswell Hill Sustainability Group’s 11th annual Green Open Homes season offers insights and inspiration with decarbonising homes, as 8 homeowners generously open the doors of their retro-fitted and eco-build houses for pre-booked guided tours.

The free tours of 8 retrofitted and new-build houses take place over 2 weekends in November:

• Saturday 9 and Sunday 10 November
• Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 November
• house tours are by appointment only and take place at various times and locations in Haringey

Free expert talks

Free expert talks across retro-fitting, renewables and architecture, taking place in November and December 2024.

All talks take place at Muswell Hill Methodist Church, 28 Page’s Lane, N10 1PP, 7.30pm to 8.30pm.

Three accompanying evening expert talks further deep dive into: 

• Monday 4 November: feasibility, installation and design of renewables, including air source heat pumps and solar PV
• Monday 18 November: an introduction to the ‘why, what and how’ of entry-level residential retro-fitting
• Monday 2 December: two eco-architects share their expertise and personal stories of designing and retrofitting low-energy houses
