Join us at Broadwater Farm Community Centre for an impactful evening of films and conversations around mental health and equality. Brought to you by Black Thrive Haringey in partnership with Haringey Council.
This community-focused event is open to everyone aged 12 and above, offering a space to explore the intersection of mental health, identity, and racial equality.
Film Screenings: We will be showing two powerful short films: "Me, My Father & Mental Health... A Story by Courtney Brown" "Me, My Music & Mental Health... A Story by Shocka" Both films feature inspiring personal journeys from individuals from Broadwater Farm, offering intimate insights into their mental health experiences and the challenges they’ve faced.
Workshop: Following the screenings, take part in a dynamic discussion focused on the Patient and Carer Race Equality Framework (PCREF) or the Anti-Racism Framework. This interactive session will explore ways we can work together to promote mental health equity and address structural racism within healthcare services.
This is a unique opportunity for community members and organisations to come together, learn, and contribute to creating a more inclusive and equitable approach to mental health support. Be part of the conversation and help shape the future of mental health care within our communities.
