This summer Quilt Club will host 12 workshops around Haringey. The workshops will primarily involve participants tagging their names onto a large textile installation using various artistic tools like spray cans, paints, pens, and thread. This means you'll have a chance to express yourself by adding your personal touch to a collective art piece.
Additionally, if you're interested in learning more refined skills, Nicola will be there to demonstrate couture beading and embroidery techniques. These are intricate methods used in high-fashion to decorate garments and accessories, offering a beautiful blend of artistry and precision.
The overall goal of the workshop is to heavily embellish a patchwork night sky, enriched with the personal signatures of residents of Haringey, symbolising a community of individual stars coming together to form a stunning visual experience. This setup encourages both personal expression and skill learning in a collaborative environment.
Suitable for ages 11+. No experience necessary!
Free event.
