How we can help 

Hearthstone is a free council-run service providing emotional and practical support to anyone experiencing domestic abuse in Haringey. The service includes: 

  • housing advice including access to refuge accommodation 
  • free legal advice on a range of civil solutions such as injunctions 
  • access to solicitors who provide free legal advice around family matters 
  • sanctuary scheme to make your home more secure 
  • working with you to plan ways to increase your safety
  • access to counselling

Who can access the service

Domestic abuse can affect anyone. Support is available regardless of: 

  • age 
  • gender and gender reassignment
  • sexual orientation 
  • community, faith, or cultural background 
  • immigration status or recourse to public funds 
  • disability (registered or not registered) 
  • mental health condition (diagnosed or undiagnosed)
