The housing asset management strategy 2023-2028 sets out how we will be delivering £475million of investment in council homes over the next 5 years to improve council homes and estate environments.
This funding will enable us to bring all council homes up to the Decent Homes Standard by March 2028. Importantly, the strategy sets out the programmes and activities that will be funded to ensure the safety of all residents living in our homes.
The strategy also sets out significant investment plans for improving the energy efficiency of council homes, which will not only help reduce energy bills but also support carbon reduction in Haringey in line with our aim to be net-zero carbon by 2041.
Also included in the strategy is a new section on damp and mould as well as enhanced communication and resident engagement. We developed the key priorities and objectives of the new strategy by working with a group of residents.
