Early Intervention Outreach Practitioner

Pay Scale 5, point 12-15

Salary £23,359.00 - £24,453.33 (pro rata)

28 hours per week, all year round (08.30 – 4.30)

Fixed Term Contract to March 2026

To start September 2024

 

Are you someone who is motivated and passionate about working with young children and their families?

Do you have a minimum of 3 years’ experience working with children and parents in a community based early years setting and/or a family support or outreach setting?

Do you have a professional qualification (minimum Level 3) in Early Years, Community Support/ Development or equivalent?

 

Woodlands Park is seeking to appoint an Early Intervention Outreach Practitioner to join our existing outreach team based in our vibrant and diverse integrated Centre.

The post holder will be promoting and delivering a range of Children Centre services within the local community and will need to have a good understanding of current child protection and safeguarding policies and procedures. They will deliver groups for families, take part in outreach activities and support families in interventions.

Applicants will need to have excellent communication skills as they will be working independently, directly with families, as part of team and with a range of multi-agency partners.

You will need to have excellent IT skills and secure knowledge of child development. Experience of working with vulnerable families is highly desirable, as is the ability to speak a community language.
