London Borough of Culture artistic programme
Our Rebel Borough programme is in development. We have lots of ideas and cannot wait to work together to shape what our London Borough of Culture 2027 programme will look, sound, taste and feel like!
Where we have got to so far…
- We want to kick off our year with an afternoon of free festival fun for the whole family at Alexandra Palace – showcasing the creativity of Haringey from circus to music and theatre, and everything in between
- We will close the year in style with a high-octane celebration, merging into an evening of homegrown Haringey talent, at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
- We will highlight the creative contributions of local designers, makers and photographers – our emerging and established creatives, featured alongside each other - with a fashion and design spectacular
- A series of public art pop-ups and permanent artworks created by the people of Haringey will appear across the borough
- Working with local organisations we will platform music showcases - enabling every school in the borough to be involved, drawing young music makers and audiences together on an unprecedented scale
- A pop-up programme running throughout the year in all 21 wards, from Northumberland Park to Crouch End will celebrate music talent and styles curated by communities and elevating our spaces and artists
- We aim to have over 100 spaces participating, including a collection of 12 special buildings not normally open to the public, and a focus on our food culture - from Green Lanes to street markets
- We will seek to develop emerging and lesser-known creative local talent and seed original ideas through a small and medium grants initiative for anyone in Haringey to apply for through open calls
