Welcome to Tottenham Tales!

What is Tottenham Tales?

Tottenham Tales, curated by Bruce Castle Museum and Archive, is an exciting new walking trail and digital map that highlights the rich history of Tottenham from its past to the present day.

Discover the fascinating stories of local rebels, artists, pioneers, and more. The diverse communities that have called Tottenham home have created a legacy of places, stories, art, and culture.

Explore Tottenham at your own pace. From the Mulberry Tree that inspired the famous Tottenham Cake to iconic protests, ground-breaking artists, and legendary cultural venues, there is so much to uncover.

Use our digital map as a guide, but for the best experience, embark on your own self-guided tour in person. As you walk through Tottenham, look for plaques with QR codes that will provide you with detailed stories and archival material right on your smartphone.

View the online map to learn more about these hidden stories—from historic protests and influential artists to cultural landmarks and local legends.

Tottenham Tales is an evolving project, and we’d love to hear from you! If you have your own Tottenham Tale to share, use our online form to submit it.

There are two walks exploring the Tottenham Tales trail, with Deborah Hedgecock, Curator of Bruce Castle Museum and Archive. Free tickets can be booked through TicketTailor, for Wednesday 10 July, 6 to 7.30pm or Monday 22 July, 10.30 to 1230pm.

See the Bruce Castle Walks page for more information.
