Shepherds Hill Gardens

A welcoming hidden gem of a park off Shepherds Hill in Crouch End.

About your park

Shepherds Hill Gardens has a wide variety of trees and shrubs offering different habitats for birds and other wildlife.

There’s a wide grassy area for games and running around and wooded areas with paths. It has stunning views of Queens Wood and Alexandra Palace.

Get involved

The Friends of Shepherds Hill Gardens are a group of volunteers hoping to develop more opportunities for biodiversity like birdboxes and more wildflowers.

To contact the group, see our list of Friends of Parks groups.

History

In the 1950s the park was featured in the amateur film, The Beauty of the Borough. You can watch the film on the Hornsey Historical website.

In 2008 an informal Friends Group was set up to breathe new life into the park.
