Haringey appoints Taryn Eves as new Director of Finance

Haringey Council is delighted to announce the appointment of Taryn Eves as its new Director of Finance.

Taryn joins Haringey from West Sussex County Council where she is the Director of Finance and Support Services and responsible for a £1.8bn annual budget and overseeing their £5bn pensions fund.

Taryn brings a wealth of experience, including senior roles in the capital.  Prior to joining West Sussex in November 2022, she was Director of Financial Management at the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in the years following the Grenfell fire and has held a variety of positions at Bexley Council.

Taryn succeeds Jon Warlow, who is retiring after six years as Director of Finance and S151 Officer at Haringey.

Taryn, who begins her new role in May, is thrilled to have the opportunity to take up the position, which was approved by Full Council on 12th February.

Taryn Eves said:

“I am very much looking forward to getting started later in the year and the opportunity to work with everyone at the council on our ambition to make a difference for all of our local communities.

“I know that Haringey really does put all communities at the heart of everything it does, and I am really excited to become part of this, supporting everyone to have a voice, have access to our services and achieve the best outcomes possible.”

Haringey Council Chief Executive Andy Donald said:

“I’m delighted that Taryn Eves has been appointed as our Director of Finance.

“Taryn brings a wealth of finance management experience to the post and is perfectly placed to help the council to continue to deliver for its residents at what is a challenging time for local government finances.

“I’m confident Taryn’s expertise and passion for the role will be a huge asset to the council in the years to come.”
