Stanhope Road to close from Monday

Stanhope Road will be closed for approximately six weeks from next Monday (17 June 2024) onwards as the next phase of the bridge replacement project begins.

This will include the demolition of the existing structure and the installation of new foundations.

Parkland Walk will be diverted onto the temporary pedestrian walkway until the completion of the works and will bring Parkland Walk users down to Stanhope Road using a combination of ramps and steps.

Signs have been installed in advance to inform users that there will be no continuous level access along Parkland Walk while this diversion is in place.

During this road closure, traffic will be diverted via Shepherds Hill, Crouch End Hill and Hornsey Lane, with signage in place to advise motorists.

The W5 bus will run on a diverted route via Archway Road during the road closure. Updates can be found at: www.tfl.gov.uk/bus/status
