A search can take up to 10 working days to process.
A solicitor or licensed conveyancer will usually submit an application for an Official Search on form LLC1. The local authority will then search the register and disclose any entries on schedules.
Search requests should be submitted with 2 copies of an up-to-date Ordnance Survey plan, with the boundary of the property clearly marked.
