All planning applications must have a location plan and a site plan. You can buy location and site plans from the Planning Portal website:
Location plan
The location plan must be at a scale of 1:1250 (or 1:2500 for larger sites) on an up-to-date map and the application site must be outlined with a red line.
The site should include all land necessary to carry out the proposed development including the access to a public highway.
Any other land owned by the applicant should be outlined with a blue line.
Site plan
The site plan must be to a scale of 1:500 or 1:200.
Additionally, the site plan must include:
- the direction of north
- the proposed development in relation to the site boundaries with written dimensions
- any public rights of way, trees, hard surfacing and boundary treatment (where relevant)
