Other advice services

We offer the following advice services. All our fees include VAT.

Planning Performance Agreements (PPAs)

Our PPA service can offer a bespoke service which can provide specialist support and expertise relevant to your proposal. The cost of the service is calculated based on the hourly rates of the officers and experts who provide the advice.

Planning Performance Agreement (PPA) for discharge of conditions

PPAs for discharge of conditions start at £1,000 per condition:

  1. Amendment/variation to S106 agreement. The fee is £1,787.
  2. Telecommunications development. The fee is £480.
  3. Householder development – discharge of condition or non-material amendment. The fee is £480.
  4. Minor development – discharge of condition or non-material amendment. The fee is £480.

Mixed-use developments in any category will be a combination of these fees.

Quality review panel, formal review

If you want feedback from a range of design experts about their proposal, we offer a quality review panel. 

This service is not available unless you first attend a pre-application advice meeting.

The fee is £6,288.

Quality review panel, chairs review

If you want feedback from the chair of the quality review panel for design advice on your proposal.

This service is not available unless you attend a planning advice meeting first.

The fee is £3,588 including room hire.

Senior manager time

If you want support and advice from Robbie McNaugher, Head of Development Management.

This is subject to availability and at our discretion, and is usually only suitable for 'major' proposals for residential developments and commercial spaces.

The fee is £235 per hour.

Assistant director time

If you want additional advice and support from the assistant director for planning, building standards and sustainability. 

This is subject to availability and at our discretion, and is usually only suitable for 'major' proposals for residential developments and commercial spaces.

The fee is £326 per hour.

Area team managers and specialist urban design or heritage advice

If you need specific urban design or conservation advice, for example: works to listed buildings or in conservation areas, and for tall or landmark buildings.

The fee is £235 per hour.

Development Management planning forum

The fee is £1,795.86.

Pre-application committee meeting

The fee is £2,026.10.

Administrative charge for withdrawn applications following pre-validation assessment

The fee is £128.40.

Basement impact assessment review

Third-party charge.

Sustainability statement review

The fee is £204.66 per hour.
