Hazardous waste
Hazardous and clinical waste can harm people and the environment. It cannot go into your bins or recycling. A special collection must be booked.
The City of London deal with hazardous waste collections for businesses and residents.

Some examples of hazardous waste are:
- asbestos
- batteries
- clinical waste
- chemicals, such as brake fluid or print toner
- computer monitors
- equipment containing ozone-depleting substances, like fridges
- fluorescent tubes
- industrial chemicals
- oils (except edible ones), such as car oil
- pesticides
- solvents
- oil-based paint – you can recycle other types of paint at a North London Waste Authority recycling centre
