Haringey Schools Music Festival Royal Albert Hall, April 2022

The concert featured young musicians from all over Haringey. It included choirs from primary and secondary schools, and performances from: 

  • Haringey Young Musicians Symphony Orchestra 
  • Haringey Big Band 
  • the guitar orchestra 
  • the percussion group 
  • the steel band 
  • the youth choir

Haringey Welcomes the World, 16 July 2020

Premiered on YouTube, a virtual performance by Haringey Young Musicians. This performance was in place of the cancelled Royal Albert Hall Haringey Schools Music Festival.

The performance included: 

  • around 500 performers, including over 100 singers from Haringey schools and over 200 members of Haringey Young Musicians groups 
  • 5 world premieres of new pieces composed for concert by teachers from Haringey Music Service 
  • international partners included guests from: 
    • Finland 
    • Hungary 
    • Peru 
    • South Africa 
    • Sweden

Haringey Goes Wild in Finsbury Park, 4 July 2018 

Over 1,000 children from schools across Haringey took part in Haringey Goes Wild on the community stage in Finsbury Park. The event was kindly supported by Haringey Council and Festival Republic.

Over 2,000 children from schools across Haringey took part in the Haringey Schools' Music Festival at the Royal Albert Hall.  

Included were specially commissioned pieces by local composers: 

  • Kate Stilitz 
  • Laura Forrest-Hay 
  • Ty Lowe 
  • Thomas Gregory
