Road closures in Seven Sisters/West Green Road
Cadent Gas has begun a major project to improve the reliability of its network. There will be road closures until September 2024. See all details about the major roadworks project.
We introduced our Haringey Streets for People low traffic neighbourhood (LTN) trials to reduce traffic so that the whole community can benefit from cleaner air and safer streets.
Early trends show some positive results, indicating the schemes are beginning to deliver on their intended aims, but we know there are a few things we need to get right.
After listening to feedback and analysing the data we collected, we introduced some improvements on 4 September 2023. We'll continue to work with our residents to get this right and monitor what’s happening.
The new measures include:
All Blue Badge holders living in Haringey can now apply to travel through the 3 LTNs.
We made this decision following a listening and engagement exercise, which involved disability and community groups.
Other changes include allowing special education needs and disabilities (SEND) vehicles, authorised by us, to pass through diagonal traffic filters.

The new rules on exemptions are likely to change the way people move around by car. This is why we're introducing the changes alongside current measures under a new experimental traffic order for each LTN. This allows us to assess how each scheme is working before taking a decision on its future.
This new trial scheme for each LTN, which includes all the changes to traffic restrictions and exemptions, is subject to a new experimental traffic order.
This traffic order started on 4 September 2023 and can run for up to 18 months.
The trial scheme for the 7.5t HGV ban is also for the same period.
