We are ambitious about the future of our local economy. We want Haringey to be a place where businesses thrive.
To support our local business community, it is important to hear from our businesses directly. This is why we ran a business survey between June and August 2023.

Key findings
To conduct this survey, we worked with our delivery partner The Means.
All the data collected was analysed and reorganised into the following documents:
The survey has produced lots of interesting findings.
Did you know that:
- 36% of Haringey business owners are also Haringey residents
- the proportion of female-led businesses in Haringey (33%) is higher than both the UK (20%) and London (18%)
- businesses where the majority of employees are Haringey residents: 49%
- business finance and access to grants was the most popular potential future business support initiative (54%)
- 64% of respondents to the survey pay the London Living Wage
This analysis will help further develop our inclusive economy framework – Opportunity Haringey – shaping the future support offer for local businesses.
