We aim to process your application within 14 working days.
We'll let you know by email whether or not we’ve agreed to give you a payment from the Fund.
If you’ve not heard from us in 14 working days, please check your junk email folder before contacting us.
How payments are made
Payments are made into your bank account. The bank account must be yours.
In some circumstances we may give you a voucher instead.
What to do if you disagree with our decision
The Support Fund is a discretionary payment, meaning we have the right to decide who to give payments to.
You cannot appeal our decision, but you can ask us to look at your case again.
To do this you must:
- email us within 5 days of the date of the decision email we sent to you
- tell us why you want us to look at our decision again
We'll respond within 14 working days.
Our decision is final. There is no right to appeal to an independent tribunal.
How we check use of funds
We may visit you at home or ask to see receipts for things we approved payments for. This is to make sure your needs are met and that funds are used in the right way.
