Yearly financial statements

The documents set out the financial statements for Haringey Council and also incorporate the accounts for Homes for Haringey, Alexandra Park and Palace Charitable Trust, and the council’s Pension Fund.

The accounts contain details on:

  • the responsibilities of the council and Chief Financial Officer
  • an explanation of the various statements which make up the council’s accounts
  • a review of the financial year
  • the Annual Governance Statement
  • the financial statements and associated notes

Notice of delay

Notice of delay of the publication of the unaudited statement of accounts for the financial year ending 31 March 2024. 

The Accounts and Audit Regulations 2015 (Revised) require the council to publish the unaudited Statement of Accounts for the financial year ending 31 March 2024 by 31 May 2024.

Notice is given that:

  1. the council has not yet published the draft Statement of Accounts for 2023/24
  2. the council has not yet commenced the period for the exercise of public inspection as a result
  3. the council will publish a draft set of accounts as soon as possible
  4. the period for the exercise of public inspection will commence once the draft set of accounts are published

A further notice will be published in due course setting out the public inspection period as soon as the draft 2023/24 Statement of Accounts has been finalised.

Each year our external auditors formally report to the Cabinet and Corporate Committee by way of an annual audit findings report.

This is a summary of their conclusions and an important external assessment of our overall financial position.
