Notice of Election – Enfield and Haringey Constituency

Notice of Election of a Greater London Assembly Member for the Enfield and Haringey Constituency:

1. If the election is contested, the poll will take place on Thursday 2 May 2024.
2. Nomination forms for this election may be obtained from the Constituency Returning Officer at Enfield Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XA.
3. Nomination papers must be delivered to the Constituency Returning Officer at Enfield Civic Centre, Silver Street, Enfield, Middlesex, EN1 3XA between the hours of 10am and 4pm on or after the date of this notice (excluding weekends and bank holidays), but not later than 4pm on Wednesday 27 March 2024. On arrival report to the main business desk and ask for the Electoral Services Office.
4. Nomination papers must be accompanied by a deposit of £1,000. The deposit can be paid in one of the following ways:
   • In legal tender (cash)
   • By means of a banker’s draft drawn on a bank operating in the UK, made payable to the ‘London Borough of Enfield’
   • By the electronic transfer of funds*. Details of the account to which payment is to be made are:

     • Bank name and address: HSBC, PO Box 131, 1 The Town, Enfield, Middlesex, EN2 6LD.

       Payment of deposits by electronic transfer will only be accepted where funds are cleared by 4pm on Wednesday 27 March 2024.
5. Applications to register to vote must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by midnight on Tuesday 16 April 2024. Register to vote applications can be made online at GOV.UK.
6. Applications for new postal votes and for amendments to or cancellation of existing postal or proxy votes must be received by the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 17 April 2024. Postal vote applications can be made online at GOV.UK.
7. Applications for a Voter Authority Certificate (VAC) or an Anonymous Elector’s Document valid for this election must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 24 April 2024. VAC applications can be made online at GOV.UK.
8. New applications to vote by proxy must be received by the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Wednesday 24 April 2024. Some applications can be made online at GOV.UK.
9. Applications to vote by emergency proxy at this election on the grounds of physical incapacity or for work/service reasons must reach the relevant Electoral Registration Officer by 5pm on Thursday 2 May 2024.
