Councillors' register of interests

Part of: Our standards

The code of conduct requires councillors to disclose financial and other interests in a public register. This includes gifts and hospitalities received of £50 or more.

The purpose of the register is to make it clear that councillors do not have a personal interest in a decision made by the council (whether implemented or not) which might influence their judgement.
