The Standards Committee

The Standards Committee:

• advise the council on the adoption of a members' code of conduct
• update and monitor the code as necessary
• are responsible for implementing the code
• provide training for councillors on ethical conduct

The aim of the committee is to promote and maintain high standards of ethical conduct among councillors and co-opted members.

You can attend any upcoming meeting. Meetings are held at George Meehan House.

Failure to comply with the code of conduct  

The Standards Committee is also responsible for examining allegations that a councillor or co-opted member of the council has failed to comply with the members' code of conduct.
