The Conservation Volunteers (TCV)

Part of: Volunteer in parks and greenspaces

TCV is a charity bringing people together to create, improve and care for greenspaces. Their vision is to help build healthier and happier communities for everyone.

We have an agreement with TCV to:

  • provide outreach work to Haringey communities of all ages, abilities and backgrounds
  • improve and develop Haringey’s parks and greenspaces
  • deliver at least 2 outreach days during the week and a Sunday session each week

Volunteers with TCV do activities like:

  • planting
  • cutting back invasive plants
  • building dead hedges (a hedge made of wooden cuttings creating a home for birds and food for insects)
  • coppicing
  • pond and path clearance
  • wildlife surveys
  • educational activities held at Railway Fields and in parks

Visit the TCV website to find out more about them.
