"This is just the start of the process," - Cllr Arkell

Haringey Council's Cabinet Member for Culture and Leisure, Cllr Emily Arkell, has been to Tottenham Green to see first-hand for herself the essential maintenance work taking place across our three newly insourced leisure centres.

Along with Park Road and Broadwater Farm, Tottenham Green was brought back under the council's direct control and management on Tuesday (1 October 2024).

All three sites are currently in the midst of a six-day handover period, with deep cleans and some essential maintenance works taking place prior to their re-opening on Monday 7 October 2024.

These refurbishment works will be continuing as part of a phased approach over the course of the next six months after a significant investment programme was approved in December 2023.

Cllr Arkell said:

There'll be a whole range of maintenance & repair works over the next six months to make sure that our services are safe, clean & well-maintained for you. This is just the start of the process.
