Check your child’s waiting list position
It can take up to 15 school days to process your admissions application. Your child will not appear on a waiting list immediately.
If you did not get offered any of your preferred schools, you'll be added to their waiting lists. If we can offer you a place, we will email you.
Being on a waiting list does not guarantee your child a place at the school. Their position on the list could go down as well as up.
Position on the waiting list
Waiting list position usually depends on how far you live from the school. You can check your distance from a school using our school distance calculator.
How long your child has been on a waiting list does not affect their position.
Children can move up or down the waiting list daily or sometimes hourly. This happens as other children:
- apply
- are offered places
- are removed from the waiting list
