You can join our Winter Buddies volunteering scheme to help with gritting and clearing snow in areas that are not part of our gritting schedule.

You can volunteer on your own or as part of a resident group.

Equipment for gritting and snow clearing

When you take part in the Winter Buddies volunteering scheme, you'll be given:

• up to five 25kg bags of gritting salt
• a branded high-visibility vest
• protective gloves
• a snow scoop or shovel

Contact Veolia 24 hours before you need the equipment. You can then collect it from Veolia's depot.
