Pupils can develop their independent travel skills by taking an active role in their schools to encourage safer active travel.
Through the free Junior and Youth Travel Ambassador schemes, pupils are recruited to either:
- develop a transport-related scheme they've chosen themselves
- follow the programme for the year delivering assemblies, messages and running competitions
The Junior Travel Ambassador scheme is for pupils at Key Stage 2. The Youth Travel Ambassador scheme is for pupils at Key Stage 3.
Peer teaching is a great way to share information with everyone in the school. The ambassadors develop important skills that can help them in school and their future career.
