Proof of earnings for claiming benefit

Part of: Benefits: proof we need

We need to see proof of your most recent consecutive (in order or in a row) pay slips for the last:

  • 2 months (if you're paid monthly)
  • 5 weeks (if you're paid weekly)
  • 3 fortnights (if you're paid every 2 weeks)

If you recently started work you must give us your pay slips as soon as you have them.

If you do not have pay slips yet we need an estimate of your earnings. We need to see one of the following:

  • a letter or contract of employment showing the weekly number of hours you work and your annual or hourly wage
  • completed pay form from your employer
