As a local authority with 250 or more employees, we are legally required to prepare and publish data on our gender pay gap every year.
The gender pay gap is about how average earnings vary for men and women, regardless of job role or seniority.
The report details:
- if any equal pay issues exist
- if any pay inequalities exist because of the different sorts of jobs performed by men and women
- the gender composition of the workforce by seniority
- the gender pay gap in hourly pay
- the gender pay gap in bonus pay
- the proportion of males and females receiving bonus pay
- the proportion of males and females in each pay band
