The council has been shortlisted for the national accolade in three categories – Best Transport Decarbonisation Project, Community Engagement and Delivering Better Outcomes.
The coveted awards, organised by the Municipal Journal publication, celebrate best practice in local public services.
In the Best Transport Decarbonisation Project category, the Smarter Travel Team has been shortlisted for its trailblazing project encouraging children to walk, wheel and cycle to school.
The Housing Delivery Team will contest the Delivering Better Outcomes category with the council’s ambitious housebuilding programme, which aims to deliver 3,000 council homes by 2031.
Tottenham Voices, a collaboration between the community, council and partners to develop priorities for shaping Tottenham’s future, completes the hat-trick of nominations in the Community Engagement category.
The winners of the MJ Awards will be announced on 21 June 2024.
