This is the latest phase in the Grade 1-listed building’s exciting restoration programme, which will enhance residents and visitors’ access to the museum’s unique and fascinating collection as well as transform an 18th century room into a new public space for community use and exhibitions.
Other on-site improvements include improving accessibility, repairing historic fabric, making fire protection upgrades and addressing and stabilising structural issues.
Bruce Castle Museum and Archive staff will be working remotely from 25 November 2024 to 6 January 2025 and are contactable via phone (020 8489 4250 – Option 2) and email (museum.services@haringey.gov.uk) during this period.
Thank you for your patience and understanding while these essential works are taking place.
The highly respected and much-loved venue will still be signing off in some style though this weekend, with two terrific events prior to Monday’s closure for Winter.
On Saturday (23 November 2024, 11am – 4pm), you can hear from authors and illustrators behind some fantastic publications at the FREE ‘Spurs Book Day’ event.
It promises to be a fantastic occasion for any football fanatic and the perfect pre-match entertainment before Spurs take on Premier League champions Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium in the early evening game (Kick-off: 5:30pm).
Here’s Saturday’s running order:
11am: Arrivals

12noon: Illustrator Paul Trevillion: A History of Spurs
12:40pm: Lunch Break
