Haringey student celebrates remarkable milestone: 100% attendance from reception to year 11

Jake Antink, a dedicated student and resident in Wood Green, has achieved a commendable achievement as he celebrates 100% attendance since starting school.

Today, Jake met with the Cabinet Member for Children, Schools and Families, Cllr Zena Brabazon who congratulated him on his fantastic achievement.

From his first day in Reception to his current GCSE exams in Year 11 at Heartlands High, Jake has not missed a single day of school. This extraordinary accomplishment highlights his unwavering commitment to his education and sets a shining example for students across the borough.

Jake's journey began at Alexandra Primary School in Wood Green, where he maintained perfect attendance through to Year 6. His exceptional dedication was recognised with an award from the Haringey Mayor at the time, celebrating his consistent presence and dedication to learning.

Continuing his impeccable record at Heartlands High School, Jake's dedication did not go unnoticed.

Haringey Council’s Cabinet Member for Children, Schools & Families, Cllr Zena Brabazon, commented:
