Celebrating Refugee Week, 17 - 23 June

Every June, the UK celebrates Refugee Week with events held across the country to recognise the contributions, creativity, and resilience of refugees and migrants.
refugee week (003)

This year’s theme is “Our Home” and offers a wonderful opportunity to extend warmth and hospitality beyond our homes by making neighbourhoods and communities feel more welcoming, engaging in events that encourage community participation, and playing your part to highlight and support refugees.

We are inviting families and residents to a free event on Tuesday, 18 June from 10am-5pm at Muswell Hill Methodist Church, 28 Page Lane, Muswell Hill, N10 1PP, to celebrate the diversity and resilience of refugees and asylum seekers.

There is no need to book, simply turn up to enjoy a number of family friendly activities including cooking, dance, arts and crafts, try foods from different countries, meet new people and show off your traditional clothes. There will also be stalls providing information, advice and guidance.

It will be a fantastic event that highlights Haringey's rich cultural legacy.
