Dawn is one of the 102 teachers, lecturers, leaders, support staff, and institutions who have been recognised as Silver Award winners in this year’s Pearson National Teaching Awards. They will now compete for the prestigious Gold Award which will be announced at an awards ceremony later this year.

The news was announced on National Thank a Teacher Day which saw children and teachers come together for a heart-warming celebration at The Willow Primary School.

The event was filled with joy, recognition, and heartfelt expressions of gratitude, highlighting the invaluable contributions that teachers make. The day included:

Awards ceremony: Teachers were presented with personalised certificates and awards, recognising their hard work and commitment to providing a nurturing and inspiring learning environment.

Messages of appreciation: Children expressed their gratitude through kind words and heartfelt messages.

Performances: Following a talent competition which took place at The Willow Primary school last week, the top three winners performed to the audience.
