Haringey set to elevate Family Hub services

A brand-new online platform which is set to enhance accessibility for families across the borough has been launched.
Launch of Family Hub

The Digital Front Door Project complements the council’s four physical hubs, offering families the flexibility to access support at their convenience.

The online resource will streamline access to information, where families seek support for early years, primary age children, or guidance on young adults' transition into adulthood.

The Family Hubs are part of a £3.4m programme and offer a comprehensive range of resources. This includes parenting support, feeding guidance, wellbeing and mental health support, language development assistance, as well as stay-and-play sessions and services tailored for older children and young people.

Additionally, they provide housing, debt, and welfare advice aimed at early intervention to address inequalities, making them a vital one-stop-shop for families.

Cllr Zena Brabazon, Cabinet Member for Early Years, Children, and Families, said:

As Family Hubs continue to evolve across Haringey, our 'blended offer' of digital and physical support is crucial.

Many families are often busy with work or other commitments and therefore this approach ensures families who are unable to visit our hubs can easily access the support they need at a time that is convenient for them.

Accessibility is key to engaging and supporting our families and we are taking huge strides to ensure they have the tools they need to lead better, healthier and fulfilling lives.

Families who use the service will be given the opportunity to connect with each other as well as relevant services. This will also form better engagement and communication as well as offer a wide array of resources tailored to the needs of the community.

A total of two Family Hubs have been introduced so far, with plans for the remaining well underway.

The Triangle Family Hub in Tottenham was the first to open and offers a range of services for children up to 19 years of age. The newest Family Hub is located in the west of the borough in Muswell Hill.
