This latest series will focus on key issues such as parking enforcement, crime, fly-tipping, unlicensed Houses in Multiple Occupation (HMO), antisocial behaviour and supporting those experiencing rough sleeping as well as other key issues.
The activities will feature joint patrols by the police alongside the council’s antisocial behaviour (ASB) and waste enforcement teams.
The Week of Action will involve key services across the borough, including: the council’s ASB (anti-social behaviour) team, Highways, Community payback activities, Homelessness Outreach, Litter & Waste, and Food Hygiene Inspections
There will be a hub each weekday located across the ward, giving opportunities for residents to discuss any issues or concerns they have with council staff. Below is a full timetable:
Monday 23 September: Community Safety Team
Tuesday 24 September: ASB Enforcement, Environment & Health and Trading Standards
Wednesday 25 September: Inclusive Economy
Thursday 26 September: Homeless Outreach, ASB and Waste
Friday 27 September: Parking Enforcement and Community Safety
Following resident feedback from previous Weeks of Action, we have organised hubs at different times throughout the week to give more residents the chance to engage.
The council organises the Week of Action every two months, with each event focusing on a different area of the borough.
Previous Weeks of Action have been held in Bruce Grove, Crouch End, Hermitage and Gardens, Hornsey, Highgate, Muswell Hill, Northumberland Park, South Tottenham, Stroud Green, Tottenham Hale, Turnpike Lane, and Wood Green.
