Hiring or buying instruments
Many instruments can be hired unless parents and carers choose to buy their own.
Children learning piano or guitar must have their own instruments to practise on at home. You may be able to hire a piano from us.

Measuring your child for an instrument
You must bring your child to our office to be measured for the right size instrument if they play the:
- violin
- viola
- cello

Faulty instruments
Most things that go wrong with an instrument are small and easily fixed. Contact us and we’ll advise you on next steps.
It’s important your child understands instruments are delicate and must always be handled with care and respect.
Learning more than 1 instrument
It’s a good idea to wait until your child can play their first instrument well before learning a second. They will need the time to practise both instruments.
