You can let us know if you have any concerns or comments about a premises, such as a pub or shop.

Information you need to provide

Please provide as much information as you can, such as:

• your name, address and other contact details so we can keep you updated or request extra information where needed 
• the premises name 
• the premises address 
• the nature of your concern 
• which, if any, of the 4 licensing objectives your comments relate to:
  • the prevention of crime and disorder 
  • public safety 
  • the prevention of public nuisance 
  • the protection of children from harm 
• how long the problem has been occurring 
• the day and time the problem is most likely to occur 
• whether you’ve already spoken to the licensee or manager and what their response was 
• whether your neighbours have the same or similar concerns 
• whether you gathered evidence of the issue, such as: 
• a diary containing dates and details of the problem 
• photographs demonstrating the problem 

What happens to your information

We will not share your information with the premises owner without your permission. 

We will only share your details with other responsible authorities, such as the police, and council teams. This is because they may need further information to investigate the problem.   

How we will respond to your concerns

In most cases we make the premises aware that a complaint has been made and why.  

The antisocial behaviour enforcement team works closely with other responsible authorities such as the police. They will advise on the best course of action to deal with your concern. This may involve one, or all, of the following: 

• informing a relevant responsible authority, such as planning enforcement, so they can look into the matter 
• referring your concern to one or more other agencies such as the police 
• investigating any possible failure to follow licence conditions
