Haringey Council's Record of Processing Activities (ROPA)

How we process your personal information and who we share it with, and why.

Data Protection legislation requires us to publish documents on how we use personal data, and on our processing activities.

We must keep a written record which includes:

  • our purposes
  • the categories of data
  • who it is shared with
  • how long we keep it for

We must keep the ROPA under review to ensure that it is accurate, and we must share it with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) if they request it.

  • records management and security
  • managing data breaches if they occur
  • enabling people to exercise their data rights – including being able to access a copy of their data
