Across the borough, students gathered with friends and family to open their results, marking a significant milestone in their educational journey.
Cllr Zena Brabazon, Cabinet Member for Children, Schools, and Families at Haringey Council, visited Hornsey School for Girls in Crouch End and Gladesmore Community School in Tottenham to personally congratulate the pupils and staff on their remarkable results.
Cllr Brabazon praised the dedication and hard work that led to these achievements, highlighting the importance of these qualifications in shaping future opportunities.
“Good GCSE grades open doors to a wide range of higher education courses, apprenticeships, and job opportunities,” said Cllr Brabazon.
“These results not only reflect academic ability, but also the potential that universities and employers value highly.
“I am incredibly proud of the commitment shown by our young people and the support they have received from their schools and families.”
This results day also celebrated the achievements of students who completed A Levels, BTecs, and other equivalent qualifications earlier this month.
The collective successes of Haringey's young people are a testament to their hard work and determination.
Cllr Brabazon added, “Many congratulations to all the young people across Haringey. We’re extremely proud of you and look forward to seeing you take the next steps on your journey.”
