What you need
Practice documents
You must upload a letter on practice letterhead stating your doctors' bay reference number.
Vehicle documents
You must upload either:
- a log book (V5C) in your name
- a new keepers slip, or V5C/2, plus a car purchase document on company headed paper showing car details, that payment was made full, buyer name, seller name and date
- confirmation of registration details plus a car purchase document
- a vehicle lease agreement
- a company car arrangement on headed paper
Apply
- Log in to your parking account or set up a parking account. If setting up a new account, select ‘Doctor/NHS practice’ as your ‘Customer Type’. If you already have an account with a different customer type, you must set up a new account for your doctor’s permit.
- Select ‘Your permits’ and ‘See permits you can apply for (not visitor permits)’.
- Click ‘Apply’ for ‘Doctor’s permit’.
- Agree to the terms and conditions.
- For ‘Choose a street to park on’, enter the postcode for the street where your doctor’s bay is.
- Enter your vehicle registration, click ‘Find vehicle’, then click ‘Add vehicle’.
- Enter the date you want the permit to start.
- You’ll see the cost of your permit.
- Upload your documents or tick the ‘Send in post’ box.
- Pay for your permit.
Renew your permit
You’ll get an email 5 weeks before your permit ends telling you to renew your permit.
To renew your permit:
- Log in to your parking account.
- Under ‘Your permits’ click ‘View your permits’.
- Click ‘Renew’ for the permit you want to renew.
- Confirm your details.
- Leave the renewal start date as it is. Your new permit will start when your current permit ends.
- Upload your proof documents.
- Review your permits details and pay for your permit renewal.
After applying or renewing
After applying for or renewing your permit, you’ll get an email letting you know we’re processing your application.
Processing your application takes up to 5 working days.
If your new application's approved, you can use your permit right away.
If your permit is not approved, we’ll let you know why and if we need more information.
