- meat, fish and bones
- teabags and coffee grounds
- bread, pasta and rice
- eggs and dairy products
- leftover food
- pet food

If yours is lost, broken or you need a new one, you can order a new food waste bin from Veolia.
On the booking page, please enter your postcode and choose your address. You will then see various options on the right. Click on ‘Order bins’ and choose ‘Indoor kitchen caddy’ and ‘Outside food bin’ if you require one.
Small kitchen food caddy bin
This small black (sometimes brown) food bin is for household use and can be kept in your kitchen.
Green food waste bin (for outdoor use only)
The green (outdoor) food bin is for household use and should be used to empty your kitchen food caddy in and place outside for collection.
Communal food waste bins
The black or sometimes brown kitchen food waste bin can also be emptied in a larger communal food bin.
Estate food waste bins
A black wheelie bin with a brown lid is for shared food waste use on an estate.
