Other planned works

Part of: Prioritising planned highways maintenance

When a programme of work is planned, the council checks for upcoming projects or utility works that could affect those roads. If there’s a clash, road repairs might be postponed.

This also helps engineers and contractors plan efficiently to reduce disruption and do as much work as possible.

The council also looks at other planned highways schemes to see if they could be improved with road resurfacing or footway replacements. This helps us coordinate work more efficiently.
