Many residents are reluctant to buy a bike because it’s difficult to park one at home – for example, if you need to keep it on a balcony, in a hallway or in a garden.
Bikehangars provide safe, covered cycle parking on residential streets, replacing half a car parking space with up to six cycle parking spaces.
This helps reduce car dependency and makes more efficient use of the limited kerbside space.
We’ve installed 206 bikehangars on residential streets in Haringey to meet the demand for secure residential cycle parking.
Apply for a space in a bikehangar
Applications for bikehangar spaces are managed by Cyclehoop.
You can only apply for spaces in a bikehangar after it has been installed.
Spaces are limited to a maximum of 2 per person. If a bikehangar has extra spaces that have not been used over a period time, you might be able to get more than 2 spaces.
You can check costs and apply for a space on the Cyclehoop website.
