Untaxed vehicles and vehicles without an MOT

Estate vehicles that are not taxed or, where required, do not have an MOT:

• are treated as abandoned and removed
• cannot use an estate parking permit to park on an estate

This includes any vehicle with a Statutory Off Road Notice (SORN) where permission to keep it on an estate was not granted in advance.

SORN vehicles

Any SORN vehicle found parked on an estate without our permission is treated as abandoned.

If you want to keep a vehicle with a SORN on an estate, you must contact us to apply.

We only give permission to keep a SORN vehicle on an estate in exceptional circumstances
